FIRST ROUND OF UNIVERSITY-INDUSTRY COOPERATION MEETINGS UNDER BİLGEİŞ PROJECT COMPLETED

The first round was completed in the scope of University-Business cooperation meetings held in the scope of BILGEIŞ Project financed through the financial cooperation between European Union and Turkey and implemented by Middle East Technical University (METU). 

The meetings organised in Eskişehir, Izmir and Ankara were attended by representatives of prominent SMEs, universities and businesses in respective provinces. Participants were briefed on the project details and reviewed good practices in the scope of the cooperation between universities and businesses during the meetings. 

The first one of the meetings was held at Eskişehir Anadolu University. The event realised on 26th May featured Prof. Dr. Kürşat Çağıltay, Member of the Department of Computer Education and Educational Technology under METU; Mehmet Hakan Dağ, General Coordinator of R&D Innovation Coordination Unit under Anadolu University; Arda Genç, Deputy General Secretary of Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce; Prof. Dr. Şenol Erdoğmuş, Director of Continuing Training Centre of Osmangazi University; and Emre Tok, Deputy General Manager of Enocta as speakers. 

The event in Izmir was realised at Aegean Region Chamber of Commerce (EBSO) on 31st May, 2016. Prof. Dr. Levent Kandiller, Deputy Rector of Yaşar University; Assoc. Prof. Engin Özgül, Member of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences under Dokuz Eylül University; Buğrahan Akçay, Innovation Manager of Cici Meze; and Prof. Cüneyt Temiz from the Faculty of Medicine under Celal Bayar University delivered one presentation each during the meeting. 

The final meeting of the round was realised at Ankara Chamber of Commerce on 2nd June, 2016. The meeting featured the presentations delivered by Dr. A. Hamit SERBEST, Head of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department under Çukurova University; Prof. Dr. A. Özgür Yılmaz, Member of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department under the Middle East Technical University; Emre Kaleciklioğlu, Business Development Manager of Kama Otomotiv; and Emre Tok, General Manager of Enocta.
