VI. “Innovations for learning in the future” International conference (New Generation (FL2016)) was held between dates 24-26 October 2016 at Istanbul Kültür University and Congress Center. The conference was held in cooperation with Istanbul University, Turkish Informatics Foundation, Turkish Informatics Association and Turkish Community Service Foundation. BİLGEİŞ Project attended the conference as the Golden Sponsor. 

Prof. Dr. Kürşat Çağıltay realized one of the opening speeches of the conference, and gave an overview about the classes telling that BİLGEİŞ e-learning portal will be a good example of University– Industry cooperation. Çağıltay told that “BİLGEİŞ portal is not METU’s property but all Turkey’s”. An appreciation plaque was given to Çağıltay at the end of his speech by Turkish Informatics Foundation’s Ankara representative Aydın Kolat. 

While new generation learning methods and learning environments were discussed during the event, cooperation and partnerships between agencies and institutions toward the creation of a common learning culture were encouraged. Around 150 persons attended the conference.
